Dudek is currently seeking a full-time Biologist to join our biological resources team in conducting a variety of field surveys and assessments and to prepare biological reports and biological resource sections of environmental documents and assist with resource agency permitting. Project work can occur throughout southern California, with periodic work in northern California or other locations. Overnight and out of region travel may be necessary. This position will be a combination of both virtual and office based (as needed) out of our Oakland, CA, Sacramento, CA, Aurburn, CA, Bakersfield, CA or Santa Cruz, CA offices.
Experience with special-status species(plant and/or wildlife) endemic to southern California
Familiarity with California wetland types and systems
Experience with biological resources impact analyses and mitigation identification/planning
Experience with state and federal regulatory permitting processes, including laws regulated and enforced by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, California Regional Water Quality Control Board, and California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Ability to conduct fieldwork in challenging terrain and weather conditions and throughout California.
