The Hydrogeology/Hazardous Waste team at Dudek is seeking an As-Needed Geochemist with 20-30 years of experience in biogeochemistry and hydrochemistry. A successful candidate will be able to evaluate changes in the water quality, limnology, and surface or groundwater hydrology of project specific locations. This position is based out of the Encinitas office.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assess the biodegradation behavior of organic contaminants in aquifers, soils, sediments, and surface waters
Provided litigation support to California legal firms on diverse environmental cases
Identify the most effective alternatives for conserving local water resources in California
Estimate the demands of alternative energy sources (e.g., solar, biofuels) on water quality
Analysis and report writing for project work
Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology or related study
PhD in Environmental Sciences, Biology or related study
30 years’ experience in biogeochemistry and hydrochemistry
Experience in marine and freshwater ecology
